Carrot (Daucus Carota) is a biennial, rarely annual plant. The root is fleshy, thickened, of various colors and shapes. A stem 25-100 cm tall develops during the second year of life. The leaves are triangular, ovoid. The flowers are partly bisexual; petals are white or yellow, rarely pink or purple. Inflorescence is a multi-flowered, complex, ray umbrella. The fruits of carrot are elliptical, consist of two semi-fruit with four ribs, equipped with long spikes. Daucus Carota blooms in June and July. The fruits ripen in August.
